Апстракт:
The aim of this study is to assess the quality of bottled non-carbonated water and tap water. We analyzed samples of tap water in the city of Banja Luka, different brands of bottled non-carbonated water, including flavored non-carbonated water. The content of analyzed elements were compared with Republic of Srpska Regulation on the quality of water for human use and directive of World Health Organization (WHO). The methods of analysis and parameters analyzed were: atomic-absorption spectroscopy (Na+, K+), complexometry (Ca++, Mg++), the Mohr method (Cl-), potentiometry (F-, pH value) and conductometry ( electric conductivity). Obtained results show that the value of minerals in some samples is extremely low, especially the value of fluoride, which deviated in two samples from the declared value in the label. According to the results of content in flavored waters and low pH value, which ranged from 3.56 to 3.61, we can conclude that this type of bottled water belongs to the group of soft drinks.
